Skyros Island Horse Trust is saving the rare Skyrian Horse through welfare, conservation and education initiatives.

Aims

WELFARE
To work towards improving the quality of life of equines in Skyros; to empower local people to contact Skyros Island Horse Trust for help and advice.

CONSERVATION
To create the widest genetic pool of Skyrian Horses on the island while staying true to the Skyrian type.

EDUCATION
To offer opportunities for education on matters of equine welfare and psychology; to encourage a respectful approach to horsemanship.
